Basel Nejem

Basel Nejem has been teaching Arabic for over ten years. As director of the Levantine Language School, Basel is responsible for the both teaching of the students and their welfare and accommodation.

He teaches at the School on a part-time basis, as he also holds the position of Arabic teacher to the British FCO-students at the British council

Previously, Basel has held Teaching positions with the Red Cross and at the Netherlands Institute. The School is the brainchild of his professional approach to teaching Arabic, and the firm belief that Syria is a natural choice for students wishing to learn the language.

Basel has compiled a wide range of materials and techniques that form the content of the School's courses. He can offer tailor-made private lessons to suit the level of students or match the course requirements of their current universities. Themes of study can include Arabic Grammar, Modern Standard Arabic, Classical Arabic, or practice and training in specific vocabularies such as Diplomacy, Religion or Politics.


Lina Nejem

Lina has been teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages for twelve years. She has a Masters in Teaching and Education, and took Arabic Literature for her Bachelors degree.

Lina teaches both Fusha and Syrian Dialectical Arabic with the school. Her knowledge of Arabic literature is a great benefit to thos students wishing to deepen their knowledge of Arabic culture, as well as strengthen their language skills in what can often be a challenging body of literature.

Rasha Haddad

 At the school, Rusha teaches Fusha and Syrian Dialectical Arabic. Her first degree was 
 in Economics, and as such she also covers classes with a focus on Political and 
 Economic themes.



Certificates  


At the end of the course, each student will be presented with a valid certificate confirming the level of achieved Arabic. Payment statements are available upon request.
